Dated 02/02/2019 Roles and Responsibilities The Lampang Road Construction Center, an agency under the Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport, was established in October 1975. Its main mission is road construction, carried out in-house according to the Department of Highways Order No. J.1.7/4/2546 regarding the adjustment of roles and responsibilities of Road Construction Centers and Bridge Construction and Rehabilitation Centers. Its administrative roles and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Serving as a training center for Department of Highways personnel in highway construction and rehabilitation, including the development of Department of Highways personnel and external personnel in road construction and rehabilitation. 2. Undertaking assigned road construction projects with a completion time not exceeding 3 years, primarily for staff training. 3. Other urgent tasks assigned by the Department, such as repairing damaged concrete pavements, tasks requiring specialized techniques, disaster relief, and other emergency work. 4. Introducing new technologies in road construction by coordinating with the Road Research and Development Office, conducting test sections for research on the use of road materials and local materials, as well as new road construction techniques. 5. Other tasks as assigned. The Lampang Road Construction Center is one of eight remaining road construction centers nationwide. The other eight are the Tak Road Construction Center, the Lom Sak Road Construction Center, the Maha Sarakham Road Construction Center, the Khon Kaen Road Construction Center, the Kanchanaburi Road Construction Center, the Surat Thani Road Construction Center, and the Songkhla Road Construction Center. All of these road construction centers are under the supervision of the Road Construction Center Administration Office. The Lampang Road Construction Center is one of the eight main road construction centers in the country.
